【中学】Global Village
グローバルビレッジは本校のリベラルアーツ教育に位置付けられている中学校の恒例の行事です。
学年を超えたチームで活動は、まさにグローバルマインドを養う絶好の機会です。この行事のために作られたチームには、英語学習を始めたばかりの1年生もいて上級生がリードしていきます。一方、小道具づくりでは学年関係なくアイデアを出し合い、得意な生徒がチームをまとめていきます。
さらに、スキットパフォーマンスで扱う世界の民話・おとぎ話からは、普遍的な倫理や生き方を感じ取ることができるのです。
日頃、身に着けた英語力表現力をスキットパフォーマンスで発揮し、さらに高める機会です。1月に開催される「プレゼンテーションショーケース」の舞台発表を目標に自分自身の課題を積みけることができました。
中3グローバルクラスは、留学先で紹介する「日本文化」をプレゼンテーションしました。上級生の取り組みを見学することで、下級生は「憧れ」「目標」を持ちました。
This year our English Global Village summer program took place from the 22nd to the 24th of July. The JHS 1st and 2nd grade global classes and the JHS 3rd grade future class, worked on a skit performance of a fairytale from another country. The students worked in mixed grade groups to compete in various games and activities, make props and prepare a skit performance. On the final day, the students did their skit performances. They all did such a fantastic job and showed excellent teamwork skills. The JHS 3rd grade global class students, worked on preparation for their upcoming exchange trip to New Zealand. They prepared a one-hour lesson on Japanese culture in groups. They all worked very hard to make detailed lessons and presented on very interesting topics from Japanese food to ninjas.
